Michael Poindexter II is an American fashion designer, musical artist (performing under the name Benny Domino), and now author and creator of the original “Rabbit” universe. Drawing inspiration from iconic comics and graphic novels, Rabbit brings a fresh, character-driven perspective to the classic hero narrative—blending bold storytelling with striking visual design.

After years of development, Domino Comics officially launched in August 2024 with its debut title, Rabbit: Rise of Cyruus Pt. 1. The release marked the beginning of a growing independent publishing journey that quickly gained local recognition, including a feature on  CW7 The Arizona Daily Mix with host Lexy Romano. Michael continues to self-publish additional titles, expanding the Rabbit universe, and connecting with audiences through appearances at multiple Retail Therapy events and notably Phoenix Fan Fusion in June of 2025. His work and creative vision have continued to gain momentum, earning further media features including a segment on The Morning Show with Marshall and Melissa and a dedicated following.

In addition to publishing, Michael hosts The Department Files podcast, where he explores the depth of his characters—diving into their origins, relationships, abilities, and the intricate world they inhabit.

With new projects on the horizon, including an upcoming release debuting at Phoenix Fan Fusion in June of 2026, Michael continues to evolve the Rabbit universe while building a distinctive voice in independent comics. His books and merch are available online, on Amazon, and in person at the Retail Therapy Market in downtown Phoenix.
